Social Work Services
A hospital stay is often a frightening and confusing time for you and your family. You or your loved ones may feel stressed or overwhelmed with the information and decisions that need to be made.
At Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Center we understand these needs. And that’s why our team of caring, specially trained and experienced staff of social workers is available for inpatients daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and for emergency room and outpatient clinic patients as needed during these hours, to offer emotional and decision making support to you and your family.
The mission of the Jackson Park Hospital Department of Social Work is to offer social work services to you, the patient, and your family, relating to your medical condition, treatment, recovery, overall well being, and discharge from the hospital back into the community.

There is no direct charge for consultation with our social work staff, and our services do not require a physician’s referral in order for you to receive our help.
