Jackson Park Hospital provides an inpatient emergency medical detoxification service for adults with drug and alcohol related problems. The service accepts appropriate adults, 18 or older who are severely intoxicated or experiencing acute withdrawal symptoms.

Lengths of stay are from 3 to 5 days. The program is staffed by physicians, nurses, counselors, social workers and other support staff providing a multi-disciplinary team approach in the detoxification and medical treatment of patients. Upon discharge patients are linked to programs and services for appropriate follow up care.
