Jackson Park Hospital opened its newly renovated Obstetric Unit. The project, which encompasses 4.204 square feet, involved the creation of two labor, delivery and recovery suites (LDR’s), two triage rooms, a family waiting area, and a new nurse’s station. In addition, the renovation project included remodeling of the existing postpartum rooms to create a more desirable environment for mothers and newborns to bond as well as promote the practice of family centered care.
