How to Apply
Applications for a PGY – I position at Jackson Park Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program should be sent through Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Applications are reviewed by the Selection Committee and candidates are invited for an interview, if the selection criteria are met.
The program participates in the NRMP match and the candidates are also selected in scramble, if all the positions are not matched through NRMP.
Jackson Park Hospital is an equal opportunity employer. The Family Medicine Residency Program will not discriminate based upon sex, sexual preference, race, age, religion, color, national origin, disability or veteran status.
We receive approximately 1225 applications each year to fill our six PGY – I positions. All applications received prior to the deadline (usually the last week of December) are reviewed.
Factors that weigh into the decision to offer an interview include:
-
Medical school graduation no more than 5 years ago.
-
USMLE Step I & II scores at least 202 or above and passed in the first attempt only and USMLE step- 2/CS - passed in first attempt only.
-
Letters of recommendations, especially those specific to a recommendation for Family Medicine.
