JPH Earns an "A" Safety Grade

JACKSON PARK HOSPITAL EARNS AN "A" HOSPITAL SAFETY GRADE FROM LEAPFROG GROUP

Chicago, IL., May 7, 2026-Jackson Park Hospital & Medical Center earned an "A" Hospital Safety Grade from the Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit watchdog focused on patient safety. Leapfrog assigns an "A", "B", "C", "D" or "F" grade to general hospitals across the country using evidence-based measures of patient safety focused exclusively on errors, accidents, injuries and infections.

"Jackson Park Hospital & Medical Center is dedicated to providing compassionate and high - quality health care for the patients in a safe environment, on the South Side of Chicago. We take pride in being acknowledged as one of the few hospitals in Illinois to have received an "A" for safety during Leapfrog's spring 2026 grading period. This was a team effort on the part of the entire Jackson Park Hospital Staff", states William Dorsey, M.D., president and CEO of the hospital.

The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade stands as the only hospital ratings program focused solely on preventable medical error, infections and injuries that will kill more than 500 patients a day in the United States.  This program is peer-reviewed, fully transparent and free to the public. Grades are updated twice annually, in the fall and spring.
