Education: 5 + years of Healthcare Accounting experience. Master's preferred, however Bachelors is accepted.  

 

Job Essentials:

 

- Operates within departmental budgetary guidelines.

- Works with External Auditors on annual financial review and assists in the preparation of the annual notes for audit results.

- Prepares accurate monthly financial statements for all entities.

- Prepare monthly account reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts for all entities.

- Recommends and ensures appropriate staffing levels. Allocates resources according to priorities.

- Generates creative solutions and attention to detail.

- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Gathers and analyzes information skillfully.

- Develops alternative solutions.

- Directs the medical center's accounting practices and preparation and maintenance of fiscal and accounting records and reports.

- Assists, advises and provides information to Administration and management staff on financial and budgetary matters for strategic planning.

- Directs the development and implementation of new and/or modified accounting systems and procedures.

- Supervises the preparation of all third party cost reimbursement reports required by Medicare and Medicaid.

- Hires, trains, supervises, conducts performance evaluations and recommends disciplinary action for staff.
