Located on the far south side of Chicago, in a federally designated medically underserved area, Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Center is a not-for profit, 269-bed acute, short-term care facility that employs more than 837 employees and has a catchment area that serves more than one million people. Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Center offers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient diagnostic, therapeutic, and ancillary services with a commitment to medical education at all levels. Since 1959, Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Center has invested millions of dollars in expansions and renovations to provide services that were previously unavailable in the community it serves and its educational affiliation and training programs include numerous schools. Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Center takes pride in having the only Family Medicine Health Center with a Family Medicine Residency on the South Side of Chicago.
